It seems that the people want the artist to show up. But when the artist shows up, the people tell the artist to settle down. The artist is only free to create within the confines of the audience's cognitive comfortability. A push beyond is considered evil to the ignorant. Yet without an artist, an audience would not be able to tell his stories. What I say is not believed. What I sing is accepted as truth. Why is this? Who made these rules? And why is creativity such a threat? What are you so afraid of? Yourself perhaps?
